The   artwork   for   the   wraparound   cover   of   Darklife   went though   many   iterations,   retaining   the   same   theme   but altering   dramatically   in   its   look.   It   was   a   process   that occurred   over   a   period   of   years.   This   gallery   shows   a   few versions   of   the   front   cover   image,   on   which   I   first   tried to   imagineer   an   umbral;   a   stealth   form   of   life   from   the endless   dark.   Eventually   I   settled   on   an   obsidian;   the Darklife equivalent to a soldier. For    those    interested    in    such    things,    the    artwork    was created   using   Adobe   Photoshop,   Xara   Designer   Pro   and Mandelbulber   3D   fractal   generator.   The   latter   is   also   the source   for   the   Scalar   Space   images   that   can   be   seen throughout this website.
