The Speilberg Connection

From its earliest days, this Web site has been describing The Crystal Skulls (1997) as 'Harbinson's "Steven Spielberg" novel - pure fun and excitement'. The novel is based on the adventures of a hero and heroine involved with an ancient Mayan crystal skull found in Yucatan, Mexico. Harbinson was therefore intrigued to learn that Steven Spielbeg's latest movie is entitled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. As usual with Spielbeg productions, the plot is being kept tightly under wraps, but similarities between the locations and subject matter of Harbinson's novel and Spielberg's movie should make for interesting comparisons when the latter is released this coming April.

New publications

Harbinson's science fiction novelette, Into the World of Might Be, has just been made available as a BookSurge POD book available on www.amazon.com and other relevant Internet sites. A new edition of Harbinson's 'The Crystal Skulls' is in production and will soon be available via Amazon.com.

Current activities

Harbinson is presently spending most of his time either travelling or maintaining the acre of rolling field around his converted farmhouse in West Cork, Ireland. He has recently returned from a 32-day trip around Cuba, where he was dismayed by the relative lack of progress made since Castro's 1959 Revolution, but intrigued and hugely entertained by the good humour and vitality of the Cuban people. Though no more lengthy trips are planned for the moment, he will soon be leaving for his annual pilgrimage to central France, where he will stay for a month or so.

Long before The X-Files TV series and the Men in Black movies, W.A.Harbinson’s bestselling novel, Genesis, and his subsequent ‘Projekt Saucer’ series, including PHOENIX, had already explored the possibilities of just about every aspect of extraterrestrial UFOs, man-made flying saucers, and international conspiracies based on almost sixty years of top-secret ‘black’ technology.

Though the complete series came to almost 3,000 pages and included many real-life historical figures, ranging from famous scientists to four American presidents, only Volume 1: Inception and Volume 3: Genesis, were published in the United States.

Of the remaining volumes, all published in the United Kingdom, only Volume 2: PHOENIX - a stand-alone, enthralling fictional epic about the evolution of the space race, covering almost forty years of American aeronatical and space technology, including man-made flying saucer projects, became next to impossible to find once it went out of print.

Because he has received so many requests over the years for this particular volume - the only one in the series almost impossible to obtain, even second-hand - W.A.Harbinson has decided to release it, for free, as an e-book to any fan who wishes to download it.
